new CLB report

China Labour Bulletin has just published their bi-annual report of the workers’ movement in China: Going it Alone: The Workers’ Movement in China. Strangely titled, for a movement that is defined by collective action, and is dependent on solidarity to achieve any gains. But by alone they mean without the support of the ACFTU.

The report looks in detail at three areas: legislative changes, workers’ actions, and the official trade union, and each section is worth reading in its entirety.
